Smriti Mehra Player of the Year‘ at the Hero-WGAI Awards
Smriti Mehra, the most successful golfer on the Hero Women’s Professional Golf Tour in 2011-12, was named the ‘ player of the year ‘ at the Hero-WGAI awards function on April 11. Smriti took part in all the 15 events and won seven of them. The awards: Player of the year: Smriti Mehra; Rookie of the year: Ankita Tiwana; Putter of the year: Nalini Singh Siwach. About Smriti : Smriti “Simi” Mehra (born 21 May 1972) is the first woman from India to become a member of the world’s leading golf tour for women, the U.S. based LPGA Tour.
